There is a Neighborhood Garage Sale scheduled for Saturday May 19th, 8 am to 2 pm. CGNA will put out advertising and signage; all you need to do is figure out what you'd like to sell and put it out on your driveway. And for those of you who love finding bargains, we expect there to be clothes, toys, household items, and some furniture. Happy cleaning and happy hunting! (Any questions? Contact Tony Medina at 978-8092 or email@canoasgarden.org)
If you missed the CGNA Neighborhood Meeting in January, the minutes are now online.
The Calendar of Events has been updated with activities for 2012, including the Neighborhood Garage Sale in May, Farmers Markets starting in June, and the Annual Picnic in September.

Santa
is Coming!
For the second year in a row, Santa Claus is coming to visit at 914
Redbird Drive
on Friday, December 9, and Friday, December 16, from 7 to 9 pm.
Stop by with your family and friends and enjoy a visit with Santa, take
pictures, drink hot cocoa, eat cookies and candy canes and enjoy the company of
friends. This year we are collecting for Second Harvest Food Bank, so please
bring canned food to donate. Two barrels will be in the driveway at 914
Redbird starting Thursday, December 8, until Monday, December 19. If you
can't stop by to visit Santa, consider just bringing some canned food to donate
to Second
Harvest.
Thank you and Happy Holidays to Everyone.
November 2011 It's almost Christmas Tree time! The custom of neighbors putting lighted Charlie Brown Christmas Trees on their front lawn is an old and cherished tradition in Willow Glen. Dawn Smith introduced this tradition into our own neighborhood about 10 years ago. It began with Lanewood Dr. and Lanewood Ct. and participation has increased to include the entire neighborhood. Over 100 households participated in 2010. Orders were placed in October; if you didn't get a chance to order one, you can find similar-sized trees at local tree lots. Traditionally, two sets of traditional colored lights, an extension cord and a support bar are needed. A white light should be at the top of the tree. Trees are set up approximately 17 feet from the curb in the center of your lawn. Using this guideline, the trees on the street should be positioned in a reasonably straight line. All trees should be lit by the first week in December. This event unifies our neighborhood and brings a spirit of celebration. We look forward to even greater participation this year. If you have questions, contact Dawn Smith – 269-0796.
